What Cantong is

Cantong (cantong.app) is a one-person website that opened in August 2026. It gathers quick games, file tools that run in your browser, everyday calculators and fun tests in one place, so that when you have five spare minutes or need a quick answer you can open a page and use it, without searching for an app or creating an account.

The English site currently has 109 apps. Counting the Korean and Japanese editions, there are 156 apps in total, and new ones ship almost every week. Everything is sorted into six sections: Games, Tools, Life, Tests, Learn and Rankings.

The rules we keep

Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. Open the address and it works. There is no login screen and no app store listing. Favorites and personal records live only in the browser you are using.
Your files stay on your device. The image converter, PDF merger, photo blur, EXIF remover and every other file tool run entirely inside your browser. No file is ever uploaded to a Cantong server. Photo-based tests such as face reading or personal color analysis work the same way.
Everything is free. There are no paid plans, no checkout and no features held back for payment. Running costs are covered by the ads shown on the pages.
Every result can be shared with one link. Game scores, test results and calculator results become a single URL you can send to a friend, who can open it without an account. Pasted into a chat app it shows a preview card of the result.
Leaderboards ask for a nickname only. You enter one only if you want your score on the board. No real names, no email.
Phone and desktop, dark and light. Games are built for touch and keyboard, and the whole site follows your theme choice.

How it is made

Planning, design and code are all done in-house by the same person. Game rules and balance, pixel graphics, calculator formulas and the explanatory text on every page are original work. Nothing is copied from news articles or other websites.

Calculators are built from primary sources. Where a tool depends on official figures, the page states which year or rate it applies. Health-related references such as the supplement interaction checker and the pet food safety list are compiled from published professional sources and are meant as general information, not as a diagnosis or a prescription. Please talk to a professional before making an important decision.

Fortune-style content, including face reading, palm reading, the Chinese zodiac and the answer book, is entertainment based on traditional interpretations. It is made to be compared and laughed about with friends rather than taken as advice.

Three languages

Cantong runs in Korean, English and Japanese. The editions are not machine translations of one another. Each one carries only the apps that make sense for its readers, and the text is written separately for each language. That is why some apps exist only in English (Secret Santa, the Adulting Test), only in Korean (Korean payroll and military service calculators) or only in Japanese (name fortune-telling, the Japanese era converter). If your browser is not set to Korean, your first visit is routed to the matching edition, and the choice is remembered.

About the ads

Cantong pays for hosting and its domain with Google AdSense. Ads appear only in slots that are clearly separate from the content, never inside a game screen or a result. No result is changed and no product is recommended because of an advertiser. Details on ad cookies and how to opt out are in the privacy policy.

Requests and corrections

Suggestions for new apps, corrections to a calculation and bug reports are all welcome. A good share of the apps on the site started as a one-line request. The address is on the contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?: Yes. Every app is free, with no hidden purchases or premium tier.
Do I need an account?: No. There are no accounts at all. Favorites and personal records are saved in your browser.
Are my photos stored on your server?: No. Everything that handles photos, PDFs or documents runs on your device and nothing is sent to a server.
Will my records show up on another device?: No. Records live in the browser only, so a new device starts fresh. Scores you posted to a leaderboard and links you shared work anywhere.
Can I feature an app on my blog or in a video?: Yes. Links and screenshots are always welcome. Copying a whole page onto another site is the one thing the terms of use forbid.
