Climb a zigzag staircase that never ends with just two buttons. Turn where it bends, climb where it runs straight. Step the wrong way and down you go!

An endless stairs game in the style of the old feature-phone minigames. Canny, Cantong's can mascot, climbs a zigzag staircase that goes on forever. There are only two buttons: Turn where the stairs bend and Climb where they run straight. Step the wrong way and Canny falls; let the timer bar at the top run out and it is over too. The bar drains faster the higher you go, so it tests finger speed and judgment at the same time. Free, no install or sign-up, leaderboard by steps climbed.

How to play

  1. Press โ–ถ START and Canny stands on the first step. The timer does not drain until your first tap, so take a look at the stairs first.
  2. If the next step is in the direction Canny faces, press Climb on the right (โ†’, D, J or Space).
  3. If the next step bends the other way, press Turn on the left (โ†, A or F). Canny turns and steps up in one move.
  4. Every step refills the timer a little. There is a cheer every 50 steps, and the sky changes from day to sunset to night to space as you climb.
  5. When you fall, the result shows your steps. Twenty or more can be posted with a nickname, and Share result copies a link.

Tips

  • Watch only the bends. Mash Climb on the straights and Turn once at each bend. The stairs run 1 to 5 steps in one direction before bending.
  • Read a beat ahead. Look two or three steps above Canny, not at its feet, so you stay accurate as you speed up.
  • The drain speeds up with your step count. Two steps a second is plenty at first, but around 200 steps you need six or seven a second to keep up.

FAQ

What is a good score?

Most first runs end between 10 and 30 steps. Past 100 you can see the sunset and you are doing well; past 300 is top-tier. Space starts at 400.

Can I play on a PC?

Yes. Turn is โ†, A or F and Climb is โ†’, D, J or Space. Tapping F and J with both index fingers is the fastest.

Where are records stored?

Your best stays in this browser. The leaderboard stores only a nickname and a step count. There is no account.
