Is it fair?
The winner is chosen with the browser's random number generator the moment you press spin, and the wheel is animated to stop on that slice. Every option has exactly the same chance, 1 in N. Want to weight something? Add it more than once.
Sharing
"Share wheel" copies a link that carries your options, so anyone who opens it gets the same wheel ready to spin. Use "Copy result" after a spin to send the outcome. If you need to assign several outcomes at once, try the ladder lottery instead.
How to use it
- Type your options into the text box, one per line, between 2 and 50. Blank lines and stray spaces are ignored, and the current count is shown next to the label. For a quick start, tap one of the Quick fill presets: Lunch, Yes ยท No, Truth or Dare, or 1โ10.
- The wheel redraws with one coloured slice per option. Long labels are shortened with โฆ on the wheel itself; the result card shows the full text.
- Press SPIN or tap the wheel. The option list is locked while it turns.
- After four to five seconds of slowing down it stops, the winning slice lights up, confetti falls and the result card appears. On a phone the page scrolls to the card.
- From the card choose Spin again, Remove & spin again (drops the winner and spins immediately) or Copy result.
- Recent results keeps the last 20 outcomes, newest first, with a Clear link.

What is in the share link
"Share wheel" builds a link of the form ?e=option1,option2,โฆ โ the options and nothing else. On a phone the system share sheet opens; on a desktop the link is copied to the clipboard. Commas inside an option are encoded so they survive the trip. Because no result or seed is included, whoever opens the link spins independently and gets their own outcome. On opening, the page says "Loaded the shared wheel" and saves those options in that browser too. To tell people what came up, use "Copy result": it copies "The wheel picked: โฆ" together with the same wheel link, so they can check the options and spin for themselves.
Frequently asked questions
The same option came up twice in a row. Is it broken?
No. Every spin is an independent draw with a 1-in-N chance for each slice, so the previous result has no influence. The chance of a repeat is exactly 1 in N. If you need no repeats, use "Remove & spin again".
"Remove & spin again" does nothing
With only two options left there is nothing more to remove โ a wheel needs at least two slices. Spin the last two as they are, or treat the one that remains as the final pick.
My options disappeared when I came back
The list lives in this browser's storage, so it is gone in a private window, after clearing site data, or on a different device or browser. For a list you use often, make a share link and keep it in your notes โ opening it restores the wheel anywhere.
Can I stop the wheel early?
No. The outcome is already decided when the spin begins, so stopping early would change nothing, and a spin is over in about five seconds.
