Put your images on a diet โ right in the browser, no upload
How to use it
- Click the dashed box on the first screen to choose images, or drag them anywhere onto the page. A screenshot on the clipboard can be pasted with Ctrl+V, and you can select several files at once.
- At the top of the work screen choose the format (JPG, WebP or PNG), the quality (30โ100, default 80) and the max size (original, 1920, 1280 or 800 px). Every image in the list is re-converted the moment you change a setting.
- Each row shows the original โ new file size, the percentage saved and the output dimensions; if the image was scaled down, the original dimensions appear next to it. The summary line above the list totals everything and gives the overall saving.
- Save one image with its Download button or all of them with Download all. On a phone a Share / save button appears for sending results straight to your photo library or a messaging app. Remove takes an image out of the list.
- Use Add for more files, or Clear to return to the start screen.
Which format to pick
| JPG | Photos. Quality 70โ85 is visually lossless at less than half the size. Transparent areas turn white. |

The order that shrinks files the most
- Size first โ phone photos are 4000 px wide; 1280โ1920 is plenty for the web and messaging. That alone cuts 70โ80%.
- Then format โ switching to WebP saves another ~30%.
- Quality last โ going from 80 to 70 is barely visible; artifacts only show up below 60.

Why there is no upload
Everything is done with the canvas API in your browser. Your images are never sent to our server or anywhere else, and speed doesn't depend on your connection. Drop in a batch and hit "Download all" to save the converted files one after another.
Frequently asked questions
How much quality do I lose at 80?
On an ordinary photo, hardly any โ you would struggle to tell the two apart even zoomed in. Below 60, blocky patterns start to show in smooth areas such as skies and skin, so unless space is critical, stay between 70 and 85.
Is 1920 px enough for printing?
It is plenty for screens, social media and messaging, but for print it is safer to keep the original pixel count. Leave max size at Original and change only the format and quality: the dimensions stay the same and only the file size drops.
What happens if I add a HEIC photo?
If your browser can decode HEIC natively (Safari, for example) it is processed like any other image; in most browsers the row shows an error instead. In that case run the photo through the HEIC to JPG converter first and add the result here.
I converted to PNG and the file got bigger.
That is expected. PNG is lossless, so for photographs with millions of colors it is far larger than JPG or WebP. Reserve PNG for transparency, logos and screenshots with text, where sharp edges matter more than size.
Can I download all files as a ZIP?
Download all does not create a ZIP; it saves the converted files one after another. If the browser asks whether to allow multiple downloads, allow it. On a phone, Share / save is the easier way to put several images into your library at once.
