Pair up cards that add up to thirteen and clear the pyramid. One rule, quick rounds, and nothing to install.
How to play on this page
- Press START to deal the 28-card pyramid and the stock. An unfinished game reopens where you left it.
- The bar above the board shows time, moves and deal number, plus Left 28 (cards still in the pyramid) and Passes 3 (how many more times you can go through the stock). Switch on Unlimited next to it and the counter turns into โ.
- Everything is done by tapping. Tap a card to select it โ it glows green and every open card that adds up to 13 with it glows yellow. Tap a highlighted card and both vanish; a King disappears on a single tap. Covered cards are dimmed and only shake when touched. Tap the selected card again to deselect it.
- Tap the stock in the bottom left to turn one card onto the waste; once it is empty, tap again to recycle. The toolbar holds Undo (unlimited), Hint (five per deal) and New deal, Today's deal and the #๏ธโฃ deal number button (1โ99999). There is no Auto-finish in Pyramid.
- If the stock is spent and no pair remains, a "No moves left" panel offers New deal, Undo or Keep looking. Clear all 28 cards and the win screen lets you enter a nickname (12 characters max) to submit, share the result or play again.
How Pyramid Solitaire works
Twenty-eight cards are stacked into a seven-row triangle โ one card on top, seven along the base โ and the remaining twenty-four become the stock. You may only touch a card whose two covering cards have both been removed, so the game starts with just the bottom row available and opens up as you clear. Pick two cards whose values add up to exactly 13 and both disappear; a King is worth 13 on its own, so one tap removes it. When nothing on the board pairs, tap the stock to turn a card into the waste pile, and the top of the waste can be paired like any other open card. Once the stock runs out you can recycle it โ the classic limit is three passes (two recycles), and the Unlimited button above the board lifts that cap. Clear all twenty-eight pyramid cards to win.
Every combination that makes 13
Ace counts as 1, Jack 11, Queen 12, King 13. There are only six pairs to remember.
- A + Q (1 + 12)
- 2 + J (2 + 11)
- 3 + 10
- 4 + 9
- 5 + 8
- 6 + 7
- King alone (13)
Five tips that actually help
- Prefer pairs that open the pyramid. Clearing two board cards always beats spending a waste card, because every removal uncovers something above.
- Dig one side deep. Working down a single branch of the triangle frees trapped cards far faster than shaving evenly across the base.
- Never sit on a King. Kings need no partner, so take them the moment they open and free the slot.
- When duplicates open, choose deliberately. If two sixes are available but only one seven, remove the six that is blocking the higher card.
- Scout the stock on the first pass. Your passes are limited, so spend only on pairs you truly need and remember what went by โ the second lap is much easier.
Daily deal and deal numbers
Every layout has a number. The daily deal comes from the date, so everyone in the world gets the same pyramid that day โ ideal for racing a friend on identical cards. Type any deal number to summon that exact layout again. Pyramid is a game where some deals genuinely cannot be solved, so when you are stuck, stepping back with undo to try a different order is as valid as taking a new deal. Finish a game and your time goes on the leaderboard, and you can share it as a link.
Frequently asked questions
Do I win if cards are still left in the stock?
Yes. The only condition is that all 28 pyramid cards are gone; whatever remains in the stock or waste does not matter. That is why stock cards are best spent only where they open up the pyramid.
Which pair does the hint show?
You have five hints per deal. If an open King exists the hint points at it first. Otherwise it prefers a pair made of two pyramid cards over one that uses the waste. When no pair exists at all it says "No moves available right now" โ your cue to turn the stock.
What does "Passes 3" mean?
You go through the 24 stock cards once, and after that you may flip the waste back into the stock two more times (three passes, two recycles). The remaining count is shown in the bar, and Unlimited removes the cap entirely. The setting is remembered for later deals and has no effect on your recorded time.
The "No moves left" panel appeared. Have I lost?
It means the stock and its recycles are used up and no two open cards add to 13. You can Undo a few moves and try another order, or take a New deal โ some Pyramid layouts genuinely cannot be solved, so a fresh deal is a perfectly fair choice. Keep looking closes the panel if you want to study the board first.
How is the leaderboard ranked?
By solve time in seconds, fastest first, top ten worldwide, with only a nickname required. Hints, Undo and Unlimited passes carry no penalty, and progress is saved after every move.
