Upload one photo of your palm and the three major lines are traced right on the picture, then read in the order a palmist would. The photo is processed on your device and never uploaded.

How to use it

1. Choose a palm photo — pick one from your library with "Choose a palm photo" or shoot one with "Take one now", which opens the rear camera; on a computer you can drag a file onto the box. The hand engine (about 8 MB) downloads once.
2. Finding the hand — the photo is shrunk to 1280 pixels on its long side, then 21 hand joints are located and the hand is identified as left or right. Upside-down or sideways photos are rotated in 90-degree steps and retried, and a hand that fills the frame is padded and retried. If no hand is found you are asked for an open palm in good light.
3. Your palm map — at the top of the results the life, head, heart, fate and sun lines are drawn over the photo in their own colors, and marriage and money lines appear as counts below the little finger. Tap a legend button or a line to jump to its reading; a line that was not found is shown dimmed as "Absent".
4. The reading — a badge saying which hand this is (born with or making), your card among the 12 hand types, the three major lines (score, length, depth and curve meters, line type and keywords), the four special lines with present/absent and counts, hand shape and fingers, then the overall reading and three ways to strengthen this hand.
5. Share or save — "Share reading" makes a link carrying only the hand type and three line scores; "Save reading image" renders a portrait card (1080×1350) with no photo in it.

Left hand or right hand?

In palmistry the left hand shows what you were born with and the right hand what you have made of it (left-handers read the reverse). Read both side by side and you see the direction of change. This reading detects which hand is in the photo automatically.

The sex toggle: male left, female right

Both the photo screen and the results carry a "Sex" toggle with Male, Female and Not set. Palmistry's rule of male left, female right says that for men the left hand shows the fortune they were born with and the right the one they are making now, while for women it is the reverse — and left-handers flip it again. Set it and the badge at the top of the results reads, for example, "Right hand = the fortune you are making now", and the first sentence of the overall reading follows suit. Left at Not set, the reading uses the neutral wording: left hand for inborn nature, right hand for what life has shaped. The choice is remembered in this browser and can be changed any time.

The three major lines

• Life line — curves around the base of the thumb toward the wrist. Its length is not lifespan but vitality and recovery; the width of the arc is your radius of action.
• Head line — starts between thumb and index and crosses the palm. Straight means logical and practical; curving downward means imaginative; longer means deeper thinking.
• Heart line — rises from below the little finger toward the index. Reaching the index is the idealist, ending under the middle finger the realist, and a chained line a sensitive heart.

How line types and scores are decided

For each line we measure its length relative to the palm, its depth, its curve, the number of breaks, and for the heart line where it ends. The score rises with depth and length, drops a little for every break, and lands between 12 and 99. The type is the first condition that matches, checked in this order:

• Life line — faint (shallow) → broken (two or more breaks) → short (ends mid-palm) → wide-sweeping (large curve) → close to the thumb (small curve) → long and deep
• Head line — faint → broken (two or more breaks) → short → downward-curving (drops toward the wrist) → long (to the edge of the palm) → straight
• Heart line — faint → chained (three or more breaks) → straight (long without curving) → reaching the index finger → ending under the middle finger → ending between index and middle

Special lines — fate, sun, marriage, money

The fate line climbs from the wrist toward the middle finger and speaks of career and social standing; the sun line under the ring finger of honor and popularity; the marriage lines — short horizontal lines on the palm's edge below the little finger — of deep bonds; and the money lines, short vertical lines under the little finger, of income roads. A missing line is not bad luck; that fortune simply travels through another line.

The fate line is graded by length and depth as clear, partial or not distinct; the sun line as present or absent. Marriage lines are counted up to three on the edge below the little finger and money lines up to four beneath it, and the wording of the reading changes with the count.

The 12 hand types

The three line types and the special lines are weighed together and the single most prominent feature names your hand. Each type is only a candidate when its condition is met, and when several qualify the clearer lines win.

• ⚖️ The Three-Line Balance Hand — no feature stands out, or the three scores lie within 14 points of each other

Hand shape

The ratio of palm to fingers sorts hands into Earth, Air, Water and Fire, and the index-to-ring finger ratio and the angle of the thumb are read alongside. Shape speaks about temperament before the lines do.

A palm longer than 1.24 times its width counts as long, and a middle finger longer than 0.86 of the palm's length counts as long fingers: square palm with short fingers is Earth, square with long fingers Air, long with long fingers Water, long with short fingers Fire. An index-to-ring ratio below 0.96 reads as a shorter index finger and above 1.0 as a longer one, and the thumb angle is read in three bands at 38 and 55 degrees.

When a line is traced wrong — fixing and redrawing

If an automatically traced line misses the real crease, switch it on in the legend and drag the dots (three to seven) that appear along it. Dots snap to the nearest crease like a magnet, and you can grab the body of the line to move it whole. The moment you let go, length, depth and curve are measured again and the score, type and overall reading update. "Redraw this line" lets you trace it with a finger instead, and "Reset this line" restores the automatic trace. When the three lines' average confidence is low or one of them is missing, a note says the lines came out faint and offers "Trace it myself", which walks you through life, head and heart line in turn. Lines you traced or corrected are marked with ✍️.

How the photo is processed

Hand detection and line tracing both run inside the browser. The photo is rotated so the wrist-to-middle-finger direction points up, the palm is cropped to 480 pixels wide, lighting is evened out, and a filter that emphasizes dark grooves produces a crease map. Connected crease fragments are assigned to lines by the rules of palmistry — heart line horizontal below the fingers, head line horizontal beneath it, life line curving around the thumb, fate and sun lines vertical — and when no fragment fits, the darkest path inside the expected corridor is used and flagged as low confidence. The file is never sent to a server, and neither the share link nor the saved image contains the photo.

How to photograph your palm

Open your hand flat, in good light, with the camera close and square to the palm. Shadows and flash glare wash the lines out. If the lines come out faint you can trace them on the photo yourself. Also try the face reading, animal face test and personal color analysis.

Frequently asked questions

Which hand should I photograph?

Ideally both. One shows what you were born with and the other what you have made, so two readings side by side show the direction of change. If you only shoot one, set the sex toggle and the badge tells you whether that hand is innate or acquired.

Zero marriage lines — does that mean no relationships?

It is not read that way. In palmistry the marriage lines count deep bonds, and when none is detected the reading says the bonds sharpen later. The edge below the little finger is also full of shallow creases, so the count there shifts with camera angle and light more than any other line.

Why is a line drawn as a gray dashed line?

That line was not found among the crease fragments and was estimated along the expected path, so its confidence is low. Shooting closer in good light with the palm fully open usually fixes it; otherwise drag the dots onto the real crease or trace it yourself.
